Iranian film ‘Moustachy Dad’ resumes production

Iranian movie ‘Moustachy Dad’ resumes filming that came to a halt after one of its cast tested positive for the coronavirus.

Iranian movie ‘Moustachy Dad’ has resumed filming that came to a halt after one of its cast tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The movie’s producer, Ahmad Ahmadi, said the filming of ‘Moustachy Dad’ (Baba Sibilou) has resumed in Iran’s capital, Tehran, stressing that safety protocols are maintained.

Earlier this month, Ahmadi announced that filming on ‘Moustachy Dad’ was suspended after one of its main cast members tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Bahareh Rahnama, who is starring in the movie, said last month that she has been diagnosed with the COVID-19 respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus.

‘Moustachy Dad’, directed by Edwin Khachikian, is a family comedy.

Reza Shafiee-Jam, Amir-Hossein Seddiq and Rose Razavi are also taking part in the movie.

The flu-like deadly virus first emerged in China in late 2019 and has now infected millions of people and killed hundreds of thousands across the world.

The coronavirus forced movie theaters across the world to close. Many cultural events were also cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
